Biography
Sarah Thorn is the senior director of international trade for the Grocery Manufacturers Association. She serves as the primary GMA liaison with members of Congress, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of State and other regulatory agencies regarding GMA's trade priorities. Thorn also is responsible for advancing GMA's international trade interests with a variety of international groups, such as the World Trade Organization and the Free Trade Area of the Americas.
Before joining GMA, Thorn worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Additionally, she served as an international relations representative with AMP Incorporated, a presidential management intern and a program officer for the U.S. Information Agency.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in comparative area studies and comparative literature from Duke University.
