Before joining GMA, Molpus was president and CEO of the American Meat Institute. He also served as vice president of corporate affairs for The Kroger Co., the nation’s largest supermarket company, where he was responsible for government affairs and public affairs.

Additionally, Molpus served as the executive manager of the Canton (Miss.) Chamber of Commerce and director of public relations for the Mississippi Retail Merchants Association. He also worked on the campaign staffs of both Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

Molpus currently serves on the board of advisers for the Center for Food and Nutrition Policy at the University of Minnesota, the board of directors of the Congressional Hunger Center and as a trustee of the U.S. Capitol Historical Society. In 2002, he was appointed to the U.S. Department of State Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy. He formerly served on the USDA/USTR Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee for Trade.

Molpus has a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and political science from Mississippi College.
