On January 14, 2004, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) held a workshop on California's State Implementation Plan
(SIP) entitled "Defining the Path to Clean Air". During the summit, staff made presentations on a variety of emission
source categories, including consumer products, and made recommendations on suggested control measures.
On Thursday, May 1, 2003 the California Air Resources Board (CARB) held a public workshop to discuss proposed fees on nonvehicular sources, consumer products and architectural coatings, as authorized by AB 10X (Oropeza) and signed by the Governor on March 18. CARB will use 2001 sales data to estimate fees owed in 2003. Links to AB 10X, the proposed regulations and affected consumer products are provided below.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has established a website with information on their implementation of Assembly Bill 1173 (Keeley, Statutes of 2002), regarding indoor air pollution. The legislation requires
CARB, in consultation with other health and environmental agencies, to
prepare a report on indoor air pollution. The web page currently
includes a summary of AB 1173 requirements, a link to the bill text,
and a tentative schedule for developing the report and receiving public
input.
