Logistics/Distribution

GMAs Logistics and Distribution (LD) Committee serves as a clearinghouse for logistics resources and is made up of senior logistics executives from GMA warehouse-delivered companies. In addition, the committee sponsors educational programs, projects and research on logistics issues for the consumer packaged goods industry.

The committee benchmarks the industry in areas of logistics every three years. This survey probes logistics trends, standard metrics and emerging issues in the consumer packaged goods industry and provides companies with a tool to assess where their company stands on important current and emerging supply chain issues.

Supporting GMA's LD platform are numerous educational discussion sessions held throughout the year - small, focused gatherings for GMA members to focus on Logistics issues and their potential impact on industry affairs. Discussion group topics sponsored recently include Customer Service, Transportation, Out-of-Stocks and Impact of Mergers on the Supply Chain.
